The little things mean the most to her.....
My sweet little 8 year old LOVES receiving special notes in her lunch bag at school. Who are those love notes from? ME, of course! When school started this year I made it a point to include a love note for her in her bag. I write one every day. Things I include are notes that say how much I love her, how awesome she is, God loves her, be a reflection of Jesus to her friends, and to be Love, and other things. I sometimes make her a cute card. She absolutely loves them. I love making them for her. I can not go a day with out it because she is sure to remind me about the note! Even if I do forget (which is very rare) I will get a note done for her right before she walks out the door with dad.
Jessy isn't about all the big things like expensive toys or clothes, or the fancy things other kids may have. But, she is ALL about the LOVE we have for her! You know what? I am ALL about the love for her too.
How do you show your children you love them besides the store bought items? What is a special thing you two share? Is it a special bed time book, a trip to the ice cream shoppe for mom and me time, or do you include love notes as well? What ever it is, remember it doesn't have to be anything costly, and it should always be something from your heart.
